Ni Kawa Kai Iai is know as 'Sashin Ryu Iaijutsu' 'Sword-work' the Japanese art of Iaijutsu, and kenjutsu.
Iaido and Iaijutsu helps promote the spritual essecence of the Japanese Samurai warrior. We practice traditional and new forms derived from classical bujutsu and modern budo, giving the student a practical and spritual foundation centred around the use of the Japanese Katana. We practice with Iaito, and wooden swords for safety.
Traditional forms combinded with practical two person drills provide you with a complete understanding of the how to use the sword effectivley. Through practical two man drills known as Kumitachi.
Sashin Ryu Iaijutsu formulated by Renshi Graham Moughton is a blend of traditional, ancient and modern ideals, developed since 1972 that not only centres around the sword drawing art, but also incoperates fighting stategies, theory of combat and actual use of the sword as a battlefield weapon.
The introduction of Sashin ryu 'Nitojutsu' two sword art in 2006 has completed the formulation of the Sashin Ryu syllabus.
Ni Kawa Kai Sashin Ryu Iaijutsu is ownd by Renshi Graham Moughton and forms no part of any othe school.
